Family and friends are important
relationships in my life that I have strong feelings about. You cannot always
choose your family but how your relationship with you family is defined is
based on the dynamics of the relationship. My immediate family and I have a
bond that is built on the foundation of trust.
My family having the benefit of being able to count on each other when
needed helps with the positive relationship we have.
Now on the flip-side of the
relationships I have are friends that I chose. Over the years I had people who I
considered to be friends; however they were more of an associate instead. The friends
that I have, have been around for the past thirteen years they are there to
support me and me them in all aspects of our lives. My friends all have
children who are my Godchildren. I do the work in early childhood because I want
to make changes for them as they grow and become a part of the community. I advocate
for change so they can have the best opportunities possible.

You have such a beautiful family...I also chose my friends very carefully
ReplyDeleteAngelika,
ReplyDeleteWe most certainly can not choose our family, but our friends we can! I am very close with my family on my mothers side only, we are more like sisters and brothers than we are cousins, but this is because we have established relationships, by spending time building trust, inspiring, celebrating and encouraging each other. I Too choose friends carefully, because everyone is not your friend, I have several really good friends and one best friend. By the way you have shared some beautiful timeless photos of your family, love it!
